American Workers Deserve a Living Wage !

I have started this website with the belief that there is an answer to the wage inequality within corporate America. There is one way to make a change in the way business sets the wages of new hires in this global economy. “WE HAVE THE POWER OF THE PURSE!”

Businesses that exploit the labor force must be called to task. For too long the profits of big business on the backbone of hard working Americans, have been tragically unfair.

I believe that if a company is making record profits, then the people who do the heavy lifting to raise that company’s wealth should be entitled to earn at least a living wage.

I believe that any company that cries about how poor business is, and uses that excuse to keeping  wages stagnant, is morally wrong. Disclose the end-of-year BONUSES. Show your employees that the suits at the top got “NO PAY RAISES” if the company had poor earnings.

It’s time to turn the tables. WE DO HAVE “THAT POWER” AND IT STARTS WITH HOW, AND WHERE WE SPEND OUR HARD EARNED MONEY! It starts with us fighting back against the businesses that practice slave wage compensation for their employee’s hard work. It starts with us refusing to shop at businesses that do not pay their employees a living wage.

The minimum wage was never intended to be the assumed starting point for all new hires. It was intended to protect the most vulnerable of beginners that are entering the workforce from abuse.Young adults who might be looking for a little extra money to possibly help their parents out while living at home, or perhaps to put some money away for their future.

Minimum wage is NOWHERE  NEAR A LIVING WAGE and barely provides for  the essentials of an adult to survive in today’s economy.  Forcing people to work TWO-FULL-TIME  –JOBS!!!  in order to  support their families. While the Tax payers are left on the hook for the government subsidies they need  in order to supplement the lousy pay they are getting from their, TWO- FULL – TIME  – JOBS.

If you ever hear a politician whine  about people on food stamps and welfare, etc, than inform them about ‘welfare nanny’s’ like big box stores and billion dollar corporations who feed off their bottom rung workers.

We MUST RAISE THE MINIMUM WAGE to be more in line with the real world economy today. $7.25 for anyone who  performs  any task of a job, deserves to be treated better than a  “WAGE SLAVE”! Lets do the wright thing and at least raise it to $10.00 an hour.

We MUST create a national “LIVING WAGE”bill for all Americans.  A common sense bill  giving people that live on their own and solely depends on their income to live, should get at least $12.50  an hour and someone with a dependent, other than themselves should be earning  at least $15.00 per hour. Employers of billion dollar companies OWE their workers to whom, in no small way, are directly responsible for the success of their companies wealth.

PAY THEM A LIVING WAGE that would give them some security, and gives them a life worthy of their hard work! If our fellow American’s who are held into WAGE SLAVERY are to scared to speak up for fear of retaliation by large Corporations, than we who have the power in stopping Corporate WAGE SLAVERY must step up and show our commitment by refusing to spend our hard earns money there.

I promise this website will NEVER ask for money from anyone visiting it, nor will we accept contributions from any advertisers that may want to exploit this cause. We will only accept your help in making a change in the way business leaders have been
methodically tearing down the great American work ethic and pride that this country was built on.                                                                        A  DEMOCRACY, NOT A PLUTOCRACY !

Together we CAN, AND WILL…..BE….. HEARD !

From Wikipedia
Plutocracy (from Greek , ploutos, meaning “wealth”, and kratos, meaning “power, dominion, rule”) or plutarchy, defines a society or a system ruled and dominated by the small minority of the wealthiest citizens. The first known use of the term was in 1652.Unlike systems such as democracy, capitalism, socialism or anarchism, plutocracy is not rooted in an established political philosophy. The concept of plutocracy may be advocated by the wealthy classes of a society in an indirect or surreptitious fashion, though the term itself is almost always used in a pejorative sense.

The term plutocracy is generally used as a pejorative to describe or warn against an undesirable condition. Throughout history, political thinkers such as Winston Churchill, 19th-century French sociologist and historian Alexis de Tocqueville, 19th-century Spanish monarchist Juan Donoso Cortés and today Noam Chomsky have condemned plutocrats for ignoring their social responsibilities, using their power to serve their own purposes and thereby increasing poverty and nurturing class conflict, corrupting societies with greed .
